The Time Warrior

This has been the most complicated cover to create so far. I started by scanning in an image of Kevin Lindsay in costume as Lynx, but without the Sontaran head on. I next scanned in an image of Lynx's head and blended the head to the body. Next I created an image of Lynx's spacecraft by combining several image of it, placing this behind Lynx. I also twisted this image a couple of times, overlaying these over the original compostie of the spacecraft.
Then I created the background by taking a starfield and fading this behind an image of the castle seen in The Time Warrior. I then applied a spin and ripple effect to the starfield, and using the same settings, did the same to the castle image and the spacecraft, overlaying this new layer of the spacecraft over the layer of Lynx. Next I scanned in an early publicity photograph of Elisableth Sladen as Sarah, taking the head and placing this on the body of Sarah in 10th century costume, adjusting the colour settings on both images to blend them together better.
I then created an image of the Third Doctor by combining a publicity photograph of Jon Pertwee with an image of the Third Doctor from The Time Warrior. To help blend this together better I copied the costume layer, and placed it back over the image, sharpening to enhance the image. I placed the images of the Third Doctor and Sarah over Lynx, fading slighty to blend the images, and under the morphed spacecraft with background effects. Finally, I added a slight blue wash to the entire image to help blend the whole cover together. Overall I'm happy with the work I've done to create this cover.
