I started work on this a while ago, scanning in images of The Doctor, Vicki, Nero and Tavius, getting stuck on what to use as
a background image. I decided to use a scan of a plain statue base bordering it top and bottom with the pattern used as a
border in the Doctor Who Magazine archive of the story. Finally, to add a focal point, I went to the Doctor Who Image
Archive, and copied a screen capture of Rome's burning, adding the image as a focal point for the whole cover. Finally, I added
a red colour wash to the entire cover.
