Cover changes
I located an excellent picture of one of the sets, and used this as a background image, removing the building site sections, and blending the background mists to make the cover smoother.
Cover info
As I could not find a sutable background picture for the cover, I decided to create it as I went along. I decided to create with
this cover a similar atmosphere to the story. First I created a cloud effect, altering this to use as a mist. Next I scanned in the
famous image of the Controller being menaced by a Macra claw. Next I scanned in an image of the Second Doctor (Trivia
Note: the image of the Second Doctor is taken from The Three Doctors; which, according to fan myth, used footage from
The Macra Terror for the scene where the Time Lords view footage of the Second Doctor.), placing it behind the claw and
in front of the mist. Next I scanned in that famous photograph of the Macra prop, removing the background and colouring the
Macra black, except for the eyes which I coloured white; blending the Macra behind the mist. I then created some landscape
for the Macra to sit on. Finding the cover looking a little bland, I went to the telesnaps and scanned in an image of the building
site, adding several grabs from this to the cover. Finally I added a green wash to the entire cover.
