Colony in Space
Cover info
Colony in Space suffers from a lack of photographic material available,
with about 40 photographs from the story.
The Guardian was sourced from a DWM archive. It was the cover photo,
meaning lettering got in the way of its feet. Fourtunately, what was missing
from one leg could be cloned, or copied from the other, mean I assembled
a pretty good image of the full length Guardian, unfortunately, most of my
hard work is covered up by other pictures.
The Primitive too, was sourced from a poor photograph. In the orginal, he is
about to knife the Doctor, with the Doctor gripping his arm. I removed the knife
and the arm, which left a gap in his arm that blended in well on the final cover.
Straight after finishing this cover, I found a better image of a primitive in another
issue of DWM.
The picture of Jo and Morgan were easy to find in the archive (Jo I had a
choice from), however the Doctor's picture is the best I could find, but it still looks good.
Can anyone spot the major plot point not featured on the cover?
