Wrong author avatar. Excuse me a moment... Ah. That's better. Okay, now we get down to business. So... The Monomania award. Created to 'honour' (and I use the word advisedly) those posters to RADW whose devotion and faith in their chosen subject have never slackened. Whose dedication has never slackened, and who have never ceased in letting everybody (and I _mean_ everybody) know precisely what they think. To others on RADW, they have, at times, seemed incapable of talking about anything else. Anything at all. Their steadfast, unquestioning belief sometimes means that their beliefs can be true and certain _fact_ to them. But I'm applying a double standard here. Hell, _I'm_ an obsessive, too. You don't seriously think anyone who edits the Unofficial Who Timeline would be _normal_, do you? But where these people differ from most of us is that they have been blatant, vocal, and persistent about their chosen topic. Or so they've been to a good many RADW denizens... _Any_way... the nominees for the 1999/2000 Monomania ADRIC ... ...are... Azaxyr, for the numerous trolls, flames, and assorted McCoy/author bashing... DBurns 6554, for his admirable posts on how everyone on RADW who even vaguely _didn't_ think Sylvester McCoy was the worst actor of all time was one of the Pro-McCoy Trolls... Andrew O'Day, for his ... fascinating... viewpoint about DWM, Gary Gillatt, and how DWM articles didn't live up to his expectations... Mark H. Stevens, for his now-legendary 'Interference destroyed the show's history! When are they going to put things right?! They should never have in the first place!! And then on top of that, they.... ! Oh, and there should have been Krynoids in Frontier Worlds...' proclamations. Rayctate, for the 'The Looms are an abomination, the novels aren't canon, and furthermore, aren't even a continuing series' position he's held for the last three years... And William December Starr and Steve Day for... For... What was it about again? Oh. For some of the many long and protracted flamewars on this group. No-one explain them to me, please... And the winner of the Monomania ADRIC for 1999/2000 is... ...DBurns 6554. I'm going to get killed. Ah well... 6554, come in please, your award is in... And in descending order, the runners up were: MH Stevens WDS and Steve Day Azaxyr Rayctate and Andrew O'Day. May the gods of RADW have mercy on all our souls...
